Today we celebrate Mother's Day in the US, a time to honor the keeper of the heart and home, the sacred creatrix of life.

In ancient times, the central hearth lit the hearts and homes of every family. We gathered around the warmth of this sacred flame to cook meals, warm ourselves, share our stories and offer our prayers.

The sacred flame lit up what was most important...love and life. The keeper of this flame in ancient Greece was the goddess Hestia.

During this time when our homes have once again become the focus of our lives, reclaiming the energy of Hestia and the archetype of the Priestess can be a source of inspiration as we once again focus on the Mother's gifts of love and life.
