Happy Harvest Moon!
Can you feel the shift in seasons as we begin to wind down another yearly cycle? Yesterday was our first full day of the fall season and marked the 100 day count down to the end of the year.
This is a time of celebration...a time to harvest those intentions that you seeded at the beginning of the year.
What has bloomed in your life and is ready to be plucked and enjoyed?
I started the year with the intention to expand my work in the world and to dare to show up more fully as my authentic self. In February I wrote a chapter for Pioneering the Path to Prosperity, and so it seemed such divine timing that on the fall equinox I had the opportunity to do my first book signing and ready with my fellow co-author, Maribeth Morrissey, in Cleveland, Ohio!
My chapter is about shaping ourselves into "Vessels of Abundance" for delight, love and possibility by aligning with our highest self, our Mythic Essence...daily.
The path to get to this harvest hasn't been easy. I faced several months of doubt, paralysis and procrastination...the temptation to shrink and not face my fears was always tempting.
But I kept turning back to the "why" of my intention...to show up more fully, to dare to shine brightly because that's my heart's desire for women in our world.
I know deep in my gut that the pathway to positive change will be led by courageous women who integrate their power, love and wisdom and dare to step into their Mythic Selves.
When we have a big dream, it's easy to get sidetracked by our doubt and fears. The unknown seems dark and scary.
We forget that the light is within that can always lead the way.
We forget that there is also a kind of "freedom from certainty" that is spontaneous, surprising and magical.
We forget that toasting the possibility of life begins not with security and a 100% guarantee.
It begins with faith and seeing your dreams as already here.
Some of my dreams are still in progress. I’m learning to claim more of my essence than my ego, as I raise a glass and toast the possibility of what is not here yet but of what’s to come. Sometimes I hold the glass with confidence, remembering all the signs that guide me. Sometimes I hold it with courage, even in the face of the unknowable path. And sometimes I hold the glass with trepidation and doubt, my smaller, safe self wondering, “ Will this actually happen? Am I enough to make my dreams come true? Will this love last?”
My glass becomes heavy with fear and expectation. My body contracts as I shrink away from my soul’s divine purpose. And that’s when I need to hear Her most, my mythic essence: Princess Flutterbye, whose love of life, love, and adventure have always guided me to live “the freedom from certainty”.
At those moments, I hear Her clearly. Her voice no longer a whisper…
My darling, put the glass down.
That’s not the way to toast!
Let go of the hesitation, the speculation, and doubt.
And then pick up the glass.
A true toast is seeing what you desire
As already here…
“To your wonderful life
To your amazing marriage
To your happy family
To your good health
To your sacred and successful business
To your financial freedom
To a peaceful planet
To setting the world on fire with love.”
See it already here, beloved
And then…
A clink
A swallow
And it is done.
It. Is. Done.
