What do I need to let go of in order to fully step into my commitments and power?
What do I claim as truth to guide me on the path?
I was blessed to spend summer solstice this year in sacred sisterhood at the Rosa Mystica Retreat in Nevada City, CA.
This was one of 2 retreats that I assisted in facilitating with my coach Elayne Kalila Doughty and 4 other sisters. Each morning we busied ourselves, tending the temple, and preparing for the other sisters to arrive.
It was such a different experience of leadership...not one of hierarchy where one person is the leader and the others are followers...but instead, one of synarchy.
syn-, meaning: together
-archy, meaning: rule, or governance
synarchy: ruling together; joint rule; harmonious governance; joint sovereignty
Like bees in a hive, we all worked together, each expressing and sharing our unique gifts to contribute to something greater than ourselves, in devotion to creating a sacred space of true sisterhood.
This experience gave me a glimpse of what could be possible for our planet.
What if we each shared our gifts in full sovereignty, and complete devotion to a need greater than our own?
What if we showed up in devotion to "tending our temples" and "Mothering" ourselves, our community and our planet?
Being in sacred sisterhood gave me a felt remembrance of the value of our feminine fire and the sacredness and sweetness of LIFE.
In ancient times, and still today in cultures where Life is prioritized, the feminine is naturally held sacred, because She is the one through whom new life emerges.
She creates new worlds and new possibilities with her feminine fire...The force of creation at the center of our wombs and the center of the universe. And she tends her creations with the unconditional love of a mother...
This is the key for overcoming the chronic dis-ease, war & conflict, consumerism, and rampant mistreatment of women, children, minorities, all living beings, and the Earth – Which we are witnessing today on a widespread scale.
In order to access the powerful creative force of the Feminine, all of us (both women and men) must restore the ancient feminine ways of being and knowing, both personally and collectively.
